Common Registration Problems for Homeschool Adventures on HomeschoolRecess.com

Common issues that may cause you to be unable to view or register for a Homeschool Adventure field trip on HomeschoolRecess.

  1. You are not logged into HomeschoolRecess
  2. You do not yet have a HomeschoolRecess UserName and password
  3. You have not verified your HomeschoolRecess UserName
  4. You do not have access to Homeschool Adventures on HomeschoolRecess
  5. The registration deadline date has passed or the maximum number of participants have already registered for a field trip

1. You are not logged into HomeschoolRecess

2. You do not yet have a HomeschoolRecess UserName and password

  1. Enter a UserName of your choosing
  2. Enter an email address that you check regularly
  3. Accept the Terms and Conditions of Use
  4. Solve the CAPTCHA challenge to prove you are not a robot
  5. Click on Create new account
  6. Locate and respond to the verification email from admin(at)homeschoolrecess.com

Registering for an account is necessary for the HomeschoolRecess to work.

3. You have not verified your HomeschoolRecess UserName

  • Locate and respond to the verification email which was sent from admin(at)homeschoolrecess.com immediately upon creation of your account.

The verification email …

  • prevents someone else from registering your email address without your consent
  • ensures that you are able to receive emails from the site about your events

Please check your spam, junk or bulk mail folder for the email if it is not in your inbox. If you locate it there, please be sure to whitelist that email address as all communications about the events for which you register will be sent from it.

If you cannot find it, you can send a new email from homeschoolrecess.com/password

4. You do not have access to Homeschool Adventures' field trips on HomeschoolRecess

  1. Go to the HSAdventures Yahoo Group
    • If necessary, sign in to Yahoo
  2. Click on Files.
  3. Click on the HSAdventures Documents folder
  4. Open the HomeschoolRecess Group registration code file to find the code.
  5. Go to homeschoolrecess.com/og/regcode and enter the Group registration code found in that file in the Group registration code field.

We update the Group registration code regularly. Please do not share this code with those who are not members of the HSAdventures Yahoo Group. Invite them to join the Group instead.

5. The registration deadline date has passed or the maximum number of participants have already registered for a field trip

In this case, logged in users will see the message …

  • Signups closed for this Field Trip.

… at the bottom of the page (above "Post new comment") and the message …

  • Registration status
    Registration is: Closed

at the top of the page (above the field trip title).
