Helen Young Room - Southdale - Hennepin County Library

The Helen Young room is located on the second floor of Southdale Library and accommodates groups from 15 to 49 people. There are 13 tables available for setup options.

Hennepin County Library provides community gathering spaces in order for groups to come together to learn and exchange information and ideas. Public gathering places are made available to the public regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use. Permission to use a public gathering place does not constitute an endorsement by Hennepin County Library of the program or point of view expressed. Availability is on a first come first-served basis.

Commercial activities are prohibited including collection of admission fees or tuition, sales of products or services, direct fund raising activities, gambling, games of chance, bingo, casinos or wagering of any kind. Gathering places cannot be used for purely social purposes which include but are not limited to parties or events (e.g. weddings).

Driving directions: Southdale Library is located at 7001 York Ave S in Edina and is just 1 mile north of Edinborough Corporate Center on York (and just across the street from Target).

From I-494 west, take exit 6A for Penn Ave and turn right onto Penn. Take second left onto W 76th St. Drive about 1/4 mile to York Ave and turn right. Drive about 3/4 mile to parking lot entrance on your right.

From I-494 east, take exit 6B for France Ave and turn left onto France. Drive about 1/2 mile to W 76th St and turn right. Drive about 1/2 mile to York Ave S and turn left. Drive about 3/4 mile to parking lot entrance on your right.

From I-35 north, take exit 9B to I-494 west and immediately then take exit 6A for Penn Ave and turn right onto Penn. take second left onto W 76th St. Drive about 1/4 mile to York Ave and turn right. Drive about 3/4 mile to parking lot entrance on your right.

From I-35 south, take exit 12 to Mn Hwy 62 west. Drive about 1 mile and exit at Xerxes Ave and turn left. Drive about 1 mile to W 70th St and left. Turn right into back parking lot exit and then right into parking area.

From Mn Hwy 62 west, exit at Xerxes Ave and turn left. Drive about 1 mile to W 70th St and left. Turn right into back parking lot exit and then right into parking area.
