North Mississippi Regional Park

Situated on the west bank of the Mississippi River, North Mississippi Regional Park offers spectacular views of the river and surrounding woods. The park lies within the borders of Minneapolis and Brooklyn Center but has rural tranquility. Here you can spot blue herons, fox, beavers, deer, warblers, and a variety of waterfowl among the abundant wildlife. Pack up the kids and enjoy the play area and picnic shelter. At the Kroening Interpretive Center, visitors can learn about the importance of the Mississippi throughout history.
The parkland at North Mississippi Regional Park is owned by the Minneapolis Park Board and managed by Three Rivers Park District.
