Physics is fun! Does that sound like an oxymoron to you? Then accept our invitation to see the Physics Circus performed by the Physics Force at the Minneapolis Convention Center!
As usual, this show is at no cost to you!
The Physics Force consists of high school teachers and professors from the University of Minnesota Physics Department. The Physics Force has performed variations of the Physics Circus at Disney's Epcot Center, parts of it were shown on Newton’s Apple and several members of the Physics Force have performed demonstrations on the Knoff-Hoff Show, a very successful German TV science program. Come join the Physics Force for fun and excitement (like crushing a 55 gallon steel barrel in a fraction of a second) but don't be surprised when you see how much physics you learn.
Notice: There are some very loud noises during the course of the show.
THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
How can I possibly know if I'll be available five months from now?
You can't guarantee it. What you can do is make two personal commitments:
- To attend if you are able.
- To find a replacement for your family if you're not.
Both commitments are equally important, and you shouldn't register for this event if you're not willing to make both of them.
You'll receive an email reminder four weeks before the performance at which time you will be asked to re-confirm your commitment to attending the performance. If your circumstances have changed, and your family will no longer be able to attend, you must let the organizers know immediately.
Be forewarned that, as stated in the Cancellation Instructions below, after the cancellation deadline, you will be responsible for ensuring that your reserved seats are filled. You will post to Homeschool Adventures and/or your other homeschool groups that the seats are available. Interested persons will contact you directly about the transfer. You will be responsible for informing the organizer of the transfer and providing the name, email address and phone number (preferably mobile) of the person to whom you have transferred your seats.
This is a free event. That means that someone else is paying for you to attend. It is absolutely not acceptable to be a no-show. By registering for this performance, you agree that your family will either attend or send a replacement.
Registration confirmation required.
- Immediately after you register, you will be sent an email confirmation from admin [at] homeschoolrecess [dot] com.
- Make sure your email filters recognize admin [at] homeschoolrecess [dot] com as a legitimate sender.
- If you don't receive this email shortly after registering, please check your spam, junk or bulk mail folder.
- Contact the organizers if you are still unable to find it.
- If you receive no response to your email, please call the organizers.
- You must forward your registration confirmation to the organizer to confirm your registration.
- You are not officially registered until you forward the message.
- If the organizer doesn't hear from you within 48 hours, your family may be removed from the registration list.
- Remember that four weeks before the performance, you will be asked to re-confirm your registration and your commitment to attending.
This confirmation step protects the organizer from communication problems related to emails which are blocked by overly aggressive spam protection.

Additional information
Please arrive by:
Please plan to arrive no later than 9:45am in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the organizers, visit the bathrooms and otherwise prepare to be promptly seated at 10am. We will be seated as a group. The best seats will go to those who are seated first, and our entire group must be present before we will be seated. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. If you find that despite your best efforts, you are running unavoidably late, please let an organizer know! You may reach Nic by phone or email on the day of the event.
Where to meet:
Please meet in the organizers in the lobby unless directed elsewhere by the staff. Nic and Vanessa will be wearing bright yellow hats and a Homeschool Adventures button. You must check-in with an organizer prior to being seated.
Alternate plans:
This performance will not be cancelled due to weather. Please plan accordingly.
