Who: This program is designed for children ages 7-10. Younger siblings may attend but must be enrolled. Parents may choose to drop off their children or stay. Parents who stay may be asked to act as assistants to the teachers.

Description

Silverwood's enchanted woods has been overrun by monsters: kraken in Silver Lake, Sphinx hiding in sculptures, goblins galore! This is a call to action. Gather your team of wizard and/or would-be wizard friends to help us in the hunt. You'll learn survival tactics such as: how to navigate dungeons, read trail markers, concoct potions, compose defense rhymes & riddles, assemble accessories and most importantly, hone your elemental wizard senses: Sight, Smell & Sound.

Each session will focus on one project from each of the elemental senses: Sight, Smell & Sound

Please follow each step carefully to ensure your registration:

1. Immediately after you register, you will be sent an email confirmation and payment instructions from "admin [at] homeschoolrecess [dot] com." Make sure your email filters recognize this address as a legitimate sender.
   If you don't receive this email, please check your spam folder. Contact the organizer if you are unable to find it.
2. Send your payment promptly, preferably the same day that you register.
3. When the organizer records receipt of your payment, you will be emailed a payment receipt from "admin [at] homeschoolrecess [dot] com." If the payment deadline is approaching, and you've sent your payment but haven't received a receipt, please contact the organizer.
4. If the organizer doesn't receive payment by the deadline, your name may be removed from the registration list.

If your circumstances change and you find that are unable to attend, please let the organizer know as soon as possible via email.

No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. If you must cancel for any reason after the cancellation deadline, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your family's reserved places and for letting the organizer know about the substitution. Reimbursements will be handled privately between you and your substitute.

Please arrive by:

Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes early in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the organizer, visit the bathrooms and otherwise be prepared for our program to start on time. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. 

Where to meet:

Please meet the organizer in the lobby unless directed elsewhere by the staff. Please retrieve your receipt from the organizer when you arrive as this is how she will check-in participants.

Alternate plans:

Directions:

The entrance to the park is located on County Rd E at the intersection with Wexford Heights Dr, less than 1/4 mile west of Silver Lake Rd. (About 2-3/4 miles southwest of the junction of I-35W & I-694.) Please note that many online maps are unreliable as to location of the park entrance, and you may be sent to the wrong side of the lake. Aim for the intersection of County Rd E and Silver Lake Rd and head west.
