A subscription-based sight which guides your child through fun reading lessons, only letting them advance to a new level when they've mastered the earlier concepts.. Primarily takes a "whole language" approach to teaching reading, but includes some phonics instruction too. The site is based in Australia, and uses Australian English rather than US English, but it's barely noticeable.
HERO's New and Used Curriculum Fair
Don't miss HERO's New and Used Curriculum Fair on Wednesday, May 27th. HERO has over 45 vendors coming with new and used curriculum for you to buy. The sale is from 10:00 - 2:00 at Crossroads Covenant Church in Forest Lake.
You can find directions on the homepage at: www.mnhero.org There will be face painting for the kids while you are shopping. The concessions stand will be open to purchase food, snacks and drinks. Bring a friend, you will not want to miss the sale!
CHOW Used Curriculum Sale
Christian Homeschoolers of Woodbury (CHOW) is hosting its first annual Used Curriculum Sale on Saturday, June 6th from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
The sale will be held at Woodbury Lutheran Church, 7380 Afton Road, across Valley Creek Road from Target, in the Genesis Room.
