Choreographer/dancer Rita Mustaphi joins forces with Robert Robinson Music to bridge the distance between cultures and transcend time and space, culminating in the creation of a unique show! Moving gospel music with soulful and sole stamping Kathak dance from India by Katha Dance Company and Robert Robinson Music, also featuring live drum and piano, spoken word, and members of the Twin Cities Gospel Choir!
The show is a one of a kind experience. The costumes came from India, dancers wear ankle bells, so the rhythmic footwork is very pleasing to hear. The dance style Kathak is very rich, full of facial expression, spins, hand gestures, footwork, movements and more.

If the organizer doesn't hear from you within 48 hours, your family may be removed from the registration list. Please do not register for this event unless you're able to make a personal commitment to attend barring illness or other unexpected emergency. If your circumstances change and you find that are unable to attend, please let the organizer know as soon as possible via email. No refunds will be issued after the cancellation deadline. If you must cancel for any reason after the cancellation deadline, you will be responsible for finding someone to take your family's reserved places and for letting the organizer know about the substitution. Reimbursements will be handled privately between you and your substitute. If you find that you are unable to attend on the day of the event, please let the organizer know as soon as possible by email or phone. Please also attempt to find a last-minute substitute for your family. It is not acceptable to just not show up.

Please plan to arrive no later than 10:15 in order to have plenty of time to find parking, check in with the organizer, visit the restrooms and otherwise prepare to be promptly seated at 10:30am. We will be seated as a group. The best seats will go to those who are seated first, and our entire group must be present before we will be seated. Please plan to be early to avoid being late due to inadequate maps, confusing road signs, road construction, heavy traffic, parking difficulties, inclement weather or uncooperative children. If you find that despite your best efforts, you are running unavoidably late, please let the organizer know! You may reach the organizer by phone or email on the day of the event.
Where to meet:
Please meet the organizer in the lobby unless directed elsewhere by the staff. The organizer will be wearing a bright yellow hat and a Homeschool Adventures button. Please retrieve your receipt from the organizer when you arrive as this is how she will check-in participants.
Alternate plans:
This Homeschool Adventure will not be cancelled due to weather. Please plan accordingly and dress appropriately.
Parking information:
There should be plenty of on-street parking available. There is a 90-minute limit on 13 Ave NE, but the surrounding side streets are not limited. Do NOT park in the alley adjacent to the Ritz Theater, the 13th Avenue Municipal Parking Lot or the Northeast Learning Center lot, or you will be towed.
