Winter Recreation: Nordic Skiing for Families
Minnesota’s winter weather has been unpredictable lately, but if we have 4 inches of snow, we’ll be out on it! You will learn the basics of classic Nordic skiing including balancing, how to stop and go, and going up and down gentle hills. You will be prepared to ski Tamarack’s beginner loop!

  • Rental equipment available for an additional $5 (please arrive 30 minutes early to allow for check out procedure).
  • We recommend you dress in multiple synthetic or wool layers, plus hats and mittens.

Register for either the morning session from 9:30-11:30am, or the afternoon session from 12:30-2:30pm

Second Fridays for individual homeschool families with children ages 5-11

$5 for a single class or receive a 10% discount on 3 or more classes.
Pre-payment should be received at least two weeks ahead of program date.

Second Fridays offer nature programming to individual homeschool students. Classes cover a wide range of natural history topics and include diverse hands-on activities to accommodate mixed age groups and varied learning styles. Parents are encouraged to attend with their child.
